The Elite League Dota 2 is the first-ever online tournament organised by FISSURE and ESB (Electronic Sports Broadcasting). It takes place from March 31 to April 14, 2024. While the event is not directly associated with the ESL Pro Tour (EPT), it still has a whopping USD 1 million up for grabs.
This year’s Elite League features seasoned veterans such as the BetBoom Dacha Winter 2024 winners and recent DreamLeague Season 22 winners. It will also have some new faces making their Dota 2 Pro debut in 2024, which adds an exciting layer of unpredictability. The entire tournament will be live-streamed on the BetBoom Twitch channel.
Elite League is split into three stages: The Swiss stage, a round-robin group stage, and the playoffs. The top eight invites will start in the round-robin group stage, while the next six join the ten qualifiers in the opening Swiss stage.

WHO WILL BE THE FIRST TO DESTROY THE ENEMY ANCIENT?
Looking back over the past few months, Team Falcons, BetBoom Team, and Xtreme Gaming are the clear fan favorites. These teams have consistently proved their capability to compete at the highest levels, placing in the top three in ascending order, making them the fan favourite. Team Falcons has already won two consecutive tournaments since making their debut earlier this year.
A SONG OF CHAMPIONS AND UNDERDOGS
The Elite League also welcomes titans such as two-time TI champions Team Spirit, Gaimin Gladiators, and Azure Ray, aiming to reassert their dominance in the Dota 2 esports scene. They were still relatively strong contenders in late 2023 but have fallen off slightly to the new players in town. Meanwhile, teams like Team Secret, Nigma Galaxy, and Tundra Esports are positioned as underdogs. Fans can expect unpredictable Dota 2 games that will certainly keep them on the edge of their seats!
Although the Elite League may not be a part of the EPT circuit and would not contribute to the teams’ qualification for the Riyadh Masters, it could potentially impact the participating teams’ overall standing when Valve invites teams for the International Championship later this year. With all competitors returning refreshed and ready to battle, the Elite League promises intense competition and unforgettable Dota 2 moments.
